Why You Need a Removal Company When Moving to Denmark

If you are planning to move to another country like Denmark, it is better to hire a removal company, especially if you have plenty of cargo with you. Unlike moving to a town, which requires land travel, moving to Denmark may involve travel by land, air or water, depending on your personal preference. It will wreck your nerves when thinking about all the packing involved, safety of your cargo and the transport from your old house in your old country to your new place in Denmark. For the safety of your cargo as well as for your peace of mind, a removal company will bear the burden of the packing and transport responsibilities. All you have to do is pay them to do it for you.

Nevertheless, if you do not want any concerns bothering you, it is prudent to insure your cargo. If you have brittle and fragile materials in your cargo, then there should be no further questions asked, it must be insured. In addition to that, it should also be remembered that most insurance companies only provide insurance to your cargo given the condition that it was the people from the removal company you hired who packed it. Hence, when hiring a removal company, make sure that you pay for their full service, which implies that they will also be the ones responsible to put your stuff in the crates or boxes and seal them accordingly.

The cost for insurance is around 1% to 2% of your cargo's total value. Declare the real monetarial value of your cargo. If you do not give the real value and then something happens to it, the insurance you will get is only proportional to the value you have declared.

It is also suggested that you take photographs of your things whilst they are being packed by the removal company. This will serve as proof if it gets damaged and the insurance company decides not to cover it.
